Tristan Pursley BS, NSCA-CPT

No body left behind! Tristan takes an individualized approach to building custom programs for his clients utilizing his diverse knowledge and methods. Through an initial consultation, Tristan assesses his client’s current abilities in relation to their goals. He develops strategies that will empower his clients and push them to reach new physical heights.

Tristan’s passion for physical culture started when he began playing sports in high school like football, wrestling, baseball and track and field. He also participated in off season conditioning to improve between seasons. In 2007, Tristan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a machine gunner. Through his time in the Corps, Tristan developed a passion for teaching and physical achievement. Tristan found physical, emotional and mental stability in the pursuit of fitness amidst the demands of his job. After serving two tours in Afghanistan, Tristan was honorably discharged with a Purple Heart and decorated for valor under fire.

Tristan was accepted to Miami University of Ohio and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science double major in Kinesiology and Dietetics. In preparation for the professional world, Tristan became a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 2012. During his time at MU, Tristan was initiated into the university’s weightlifting club and quickly became the vice president and then president of the club.

In 2015, he joined the world of competitive strength sports by entering his first strongman competition where he took second place. Since then, he has competed in numerous strongman, Highland Games and powerlifting contests. Tristan also qualified for and competed in the United States Strongman National competition in 2019. Once he started competing, Tristan began heavily studying various forms of training and disciplines. This has not only helped his own preparation for competitions but has also expanded the methodologies that he applies to his clients’ specific needs.
